About Me
I have a First Class BSc (Hons) Computer Science: Digital Imaging degree from Kingston University. I am currently working as a Web Developer at Miniclip (UK). During my time at Kingston University I took part in the Study Abroad program where I spent the first half of my second year studying at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), USA. After returning I spent a year on an industrial placement at KODIME LTD in Kingston as a Junior Platform Manager.
Web
My passion for Web technologies started about 8 years ago and I have been doing it ever since. Over that time I have learnt a wide selection of languages and methodologies, some of them are:
- XHTML
- CSS
- PHP (Object Orientated & Procedural, versions 4 & 5)
- MySQL
- XML
- Javascript
- JQuery
- AJAX
Many of the websites I have developed over the past few years can be seen in my Web section.
Photography
I first became interested in photography back in 2003 when I got my first digital camera. Previous to this I had used various film cameras using both 35mm and the quickly superseded APS format. My first adventure into the digital format was using a Sony DSC-P52 Point and Shoot camera, after a while it became clear to me that I needed to move away from P&S in favour of a Canon EOS 350D which gave me more control over the photos I was taking. Since then I have collected many lenses and accessories and have had many, many hours of enjoyment.
Technology
I take an interest in almost all areas of technology, I am interested in Development, Networking, Graphic Design and Hardware to name a few, I usually try to use as much Beta software as I can to help me keep up to date.
There are many interests of the industry that interest me, Security being one of them, and as mentioned above web technologies is a strong part of my interest over the past 8 years.
